Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Ray is just returning from a church trip with his wife and friends when their Van is confused with another important vehicle and is destroyed by a helicopter. In this terrible attack, Ray loses his wife and friends and comes out as the sole survivor.

Being an ex-marine, he reacts quickly to the situation and realizes that he has to move out of there, if he doesn´t want to be killed too.

Although our hero has only one leg and is sometimes confined to a wheel chair, he moves quickly and soon realizes that he has been the casual victim of a huge conspiracy to win the presidency of the United States.

As we move forward through the 340 pages of the book, we are immersed in a very complicated plot where a secret society will do everything possible and impossible to rule the nation.

On his journey, Ray will make new allies and new enemies. One of his new acquaintances is Mariana LaGrange who claims to be part of a Congressional Investigating Committee working against the conspirators. Is she to be trusted?

The book moves very fast and is full of action, up to the very last pages. We get tossed into several dangers that are efficiently solved by our hero.

I liked Larry Winebrenner´s fast style and would recommend “To steal an election” to any person who likes a good action book, where the hero never doubts or looks back: a combination of Rambo, Bruce Wayne and 007.

¡Hablando acerca de estar en el lugar incorrecto en el momento incorrecto!

Ray está regresando de un retiro de su iglesia con su esposa y sus amigos cuando su camioneta es confundida con otro importante vehículo y es destruida por un helicóptero. En este terrible ataque, Ray pierde a su esposa y a sus amigos y se convierte en el único sobreviviente del evento.

Al ser un ex soldado, nuestro protagonista reacciona rápidamente a la situación y se da cuente de que tiene salir de ahí, si no quiere ser asesinado también.

A pesar de que nuestro héroe tiene solamente una pierna y a veces está prisionero en una silla de ruedas, se mueve rápidamente y se da cuenta muy pronto de que ha sido una víctima casual de una gran conspiración para obtener la presidencia de los Estados Unidos.

Conforme vamos leyendo las 340 páginas de este libro en inglés, nos vemos inmersos en una complicada trama donde una sociedad secreta hará todo lo possible y lo imposible para dominar la nación.

En su viaje, Ray hará nuevos aliados y nuevos enemigos. Uno de sus nuevos conocidos es Mariana LaGrange, quien dice ser parte de un Comité de Investigación del Congreso de los Estados Unidos, trabajando en contra de la conspiración. ¿Será de confiar?

El libro se mueve muy rápido y está lleno de acción, incluso en las últimas páginas. Nos vemos lanzados en contra de varios peligros que son eficientemente resueltos por nuestro héroe.

Me gustó el estilo rápido de Larry Winebrenner y recomendaría su libro “To steal an election” a cualquier persona a la que le guste un buen libro de acción, donde el protagonista nunca duda ni mira hacia atrás: Una combinación de Rambo, Bruce Wayne y el 007.
